What Are Low Core Loss Iron-Silicon Cores?

Iron-silicon cores, also known as silicon steel cores, are made by alloying electrical-grade iron with a controlled percentage of silicon (typically 1.0–3.5%). The addition of silicon reduces hysteresis loss and electrical conductivity, improving both magnetic and thermal performance. POURLEROI’s low-loss silicon steel cores are manufactured with precision lamination or strip-wound techniques, ideal for high-efficiency, medium-frequency magnetic circuits in industrial and grid applications.

Our low-loss Fe-Si cores are produced using high-grade silicon steel sheets with high magnetic flux density, low coercivity, and minimized eddy current loss through grain orientation and thin lamination. We offer both cold-rolled grain-oriented (CRGO) and non-oriented (CRNGO) materials depending on your frequency and core size requirements.
