What Are Sendust Cores?
Sendust cores are magnetic components made from a metal alloy of iron, silicon, and aluminum. These powder cores feature a distributed air gap that ensures soft magnetic saturation and excellent DC bias handling. Sendust materials exhibit low hysteresis loss, minimal core noise, and good thermal stability, making them widely used in applications such as power factor correction (PFC) inductors, output chokes, and EMI suppression devices in switching power supplies, EV chargers, and telecom systems.Product Overview
POURLEROI’s Sendust cores are manufactured with high-purity powder materials and precision insulation coatings to ensure consistent performance and reliability. These cores are available in toroidal, E-shape, and custom geometries, optimized for automated winding and various mounting requirements.Compared to ferrite cores, Sendust cores offer higher saturation flux density (~1.05T), reduced audible noise, and superior DC bias performance. Their distributed gap structure allows them to operate under high ripple current without saturating, which makes them ideal for energy-efficient power designs.
Our Sendust cores come in a wide range of permeability levels and AL values, suitable for EMI filtering, boost/buck converters, and differential mode chokes. Each batch is tested for AL accuracy, temperature stability, and coating quality under ISO9001-certified production standards.
